AJCA is dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of high-quality scholarly research and creative works in the arts. The journal fosters intellectual discourse and artistic innovation across Africa and the global academic community through rigorous peer review and open-access publication.

The journal welcomes submissions in all areas of the creative arts, including but not limited to:

Painting, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, photography, and digital art.

Performing Arts

Theatre, dance, music, performance studies, and festival practice.

Literary Arts

Prose, poetry, drama, creative non-fiction, and literary criticism.

Film & Media

Cinema, documentary, animation, broadcasting, and new media studies.

Art History & Criticism

Historical, theoretical, and critical studies of art and aesthetics.

Cultural Studies

Museology, heritage, curatorship, arts education, and cultural policy.

What We Publish
